I have been exactly where you are.

Even though, “I know better,” I had my own burnout in 2019 as a health coach and content creator working on an impossible project..

Dealing day after day with gruelling, pointless meetings, having “mind-fuck” experiences at work and trying to manage my family situation. I felt tired, uninspired, and stuck. I also felt like, I couldn’t take time off. Then I crashed. Complete exhaustion in body, mind, and my soul where I could not even read two lines of an email.

I would love to show you all I’ve learned on my journey towards health and wellness using yoga, nutrition, boundary setting and heaps of self-compassion.

Why yoga?

The purpose of yoga is to calm and quieten the mind.

Yoga is not about doing strong physical exercise or doing a handstand. Yoga is about how you can release tension, which allows energy to flow, creating vitality in the body.

If you are someone who is “doing” all the time, this type of REST + RESET yoga will help you to reconnect with your body and start to build a healthy relationship with yourself.

What is the benefit?

Practicing this kind of yoga, shifts the nervous system from fight and flight into rest, digest and healing tones. This allows us to heal and start to gain more energy, day by day.

We want to get the body’s out of constant alert, which is exhausting, and encourage the relaxation response (Herbert Benson, 1975.)

  • The practice teaches us to listen to what our body needs.

  • We learn to honour the body’s need for food, rest, and loving connection.

  • Physically we explore the areas in the body where stress is typically held, including the jaw, psoas muscles, diaphragm, lungs, shoulders, and rib cage.

  • Once we can experience this stress being held, we can move intentionally, breathe, and attempt to release the tension.
